Magellan Development Half Marathon and 10K to Benefit Northwestern Brain Tumor Institute: Runners to raise funds for brain cancer research
CHICAGO – Northwestern Brain Tumor Institute has been selected by Magellan Development Group as their charity partner for the Magellan Development Chicago Spring Half Marathon and 10K Race. Funds raised will support the recently launched Northwestern Brain Tumor Institute and it various programs. The race takes place at 7:00 am on Sunday, May 16 in the Park at Lakeshore East, located just north of Millennium Park at Field Drive and Randolph Street.
“We are very grateful for the support of Magellan and the race organizers,” said James Chandler, MD, surgical director of neuro-oncology and co-director of the Institute. “It is imperative that we increase awareness of brain cancer and raise funds to support life-saving research and clinical trials so we can find better treatment options and ultimately, a cure.”
