At Magellan Development Group, we are known for giving the residents of our properties amazing amenities such as pristine pools and accommodating fitness centers, as well as an extraordinary location in the heart of downtown Chicago. But now in addition to this, architect Jeanne Gang has helped us uncover a way to bring our beautiful Chicago townhomes into the exciting world of local art.
She and her team have recently completed the design for the interior of one of Aqua Tower’s nine park-level townhomes, which now doubles as an art gallery highlighting the pieces of seven Chicago artists. These artists include Rodney Carswell, Jeffrey Cote, Dan Devening, Jin Lee, Christine Tarkowski, Fraser Taylor and Lonney White, each of whom was chosen based on their strong connection to the Chicago art world.

While the market for Chicago condos for sale has been a roller coaster over the past few years, downtown Chicago condos — primarily those found in new luxury towers like Aqua — are consistently selling well. According to an article in July’s issue of Chicago Magazine, the reason for the great sales in high-end condo towers is “timing, timing, timing.” Homeowners who were looking to buy in the luxury market a few years reserved spots in new condo towers that were under construction. Instead of capitalizing on low prices caused by the market fallout, these luxury buyers opted to wait for the towers to be completed for their prime locations and value.
