The Chandler is the third condominium tower that was completed in Lakeshore East, a 28-acre master-planned community in downtown Chicago. The design of the building was collaboration between Loewenberg Architects and DeStefano + Partners. Comprised of 304 luxury condominium residences in 35 stories with an additional 5 levels of parking, the project was completed in 2007 and achieved a record sales pace. The two construction materials utilized, full height glass and masonry, intersect at the building corners where they step back in series of balconies and terraces, creating an elegant glass curtain wall façade. In addition, special considerations were made to enhance and beautify the Wacker Drive street wall including decorative masonry.
