At Lakeshore East, our community is designed to house residents who are accompanied by four-legged friends. For cat and dog owners, this means that there are luxury Chicago condos for sale in some of the city’s premier buildings that will accommodate their pets, too! As fall takes full swing and the weather cools off, having a pet friendly residence with access to Chicago’s best parks is good for the health of pet owners and their pets alike.
Lakeshore East: A Great Location for Pets
The luxury accommodations of the Lakeshore East make a healthy home for our residents’ pets as well! Even though our pets live in a high-rise condo building in downtown Chicago, they have unique urban access to nature. Both our 6-acre botanical park and our specially designated dog park provide a great place to walk or run with a dog. While many animals get cooped up in the winter in Chicago, Lakeshore’s animal residents benefit from the immediate proximity of the park. Throwing a ball, a Frisbee or just playing with other dogs is a joy for dogs even in cold weather. When it’s cold, Lakeshore East owners don’t mind stepping just outside their front door to let their dog get some fresh air.
Meanwhile, the lakefront and Lake Path are also just outside the Lakeshore East community. For large dogs or active animals, going on a stroll alongside the lake is a great way to stretch the legs of an urban-dwelling animal. There are even bicycle attachments for dogs so that they can run alongside your bike and join their owners on a ride. Outdoor time doesn’t have to cease during the cool weather when your community is surrounded by the great outdoor amenities of Lakeshore East.
Healthy for Humans, too!
Just like their four-legged friends, our residents need their outdoor exercise, too! With their pets by their sides, they can get out and get active in the Park and by the lake. Also, as the weather gets cold, taking dogs out to the well-maintained Lakeshore East Park for a little bit of fresh air is easier on our resident pet owners. Being just outside their front door, the Park lets residents get out and about without having to drive or walk to the nearest dog park.
Urban dogs get more outdoor time, and their urban-dwelling owners get more exercise and activity. Additionally, living in a building with other pet owners allows Lakeshore East residents to assist each other in caring for their pets, socialize with other pet owners, and share news and info about pet ownership. Plus, after a brisk jaunt outside with their pup, dog owners can swing by the Café Rom Italian Coffee Bar in The Shoreham for a hot chocolate or mocha to warm them up!
